Mp3's

...more Mp3's to come soon: improvisations, tracks from the upcoming album Etc. More, and miscellaneous emo ramblings...

'Sources' mp3's (original Semiconductor demo tracks, some from previous projects)

Doghouse - 5.31min, 5.06MB (Anahadanada: Aaron Kerr, cello; Greg Reirson, percussion, Sena Thompson, violin; Greg Tippett, bass)
NNDay - 5.10min, 4.74MB (Desert Rhythm: Ryan Billig, drums; Jared Penberg, guitar; Sena Thompson, violin; Greg Tippett, bass)
Monopoly Money - 3.22min, 5.06MB (from first Semiconductor show: Greg Rierson, drums; Greg Tippett, guitar and vocals)

The 'Jamband' Ep
These are sessions recorded at McNally Smith college of music in downtown St. Paul. Featuring: Andrew Cox (bass,) Dan Griffin (keyboard,) and Ross Renning (drums.) Also special thanks to Laila Vera for flute and vocals on Parking Lot! This demo showcases Semiconductor's period of having a 'Phish' lineup, and the tunes are fairly 'peggable' in terms of style; hence the title above. A fun session, though I would have liked to spend more time mixing.

Parking Lot - 5.03 min, 4.62MB *Parental Advisory: May induce noodle-dancing.* Sort of an uptempo emo Reggae.

Darwin Blues - 5.13 min, 4.79MB *Parental Advisory: Contains the 'F' word* In this song I avoid cliches like the plague. Sort of an fake-me-out funk-blues with moments of distress and confustion. The guitar solo serves similar a emotional function for me as does the guitar solo in 'Counting Out Time' by Genesis (from their Peter Gabriel days.).

The Volcano Song - not quite up yet!

New Stuff

Adjust to That - 6.02min, 5.52MB (drum programing, bass, guitar and vocals by Greg)

... this is a scratch demo that aproximates what this song will sound like when it all gets recorded for real.
